If you wear sunscreen daily but are still seeing sun damage, the problem is usually how it is being applied, not the product itself.
1. You are using too little
Most people apply a quarter of the tested dose. For the face and neck, aim for two full finger-lengths of product.
2. You skip reapplication
Sunscreen breaks down after roughly two hours of sun exposure. Keep a travel size handy for midday top-ups.
3. You rely on SPF in makeup alone
The SPF in foundation is real, but almost nobody applies enough foundation to reach the labelled protection. Layer it over a dedicated sunscreen.
4. You miss high-point areas
The nose, ears, hairline and eyelids burn first. Give them deliberate attention.
5. You store it badly
Heat degrades UV filters. Do not leave your sunscreen baking on a sunny windowsill or in a hot car.
